Time To Head To California

We left Arizona, headed to California and many new sights. Our intended destination (short term) was the Northern California Redwoods where we had secured Workamper jobs at a privately owned campground on The Avenue of the Giants, in the heart of the Redwoods. There were a few stops along the way, including the famous San Francisco Bay area and of course the famous Bridge. We stayed at an Escapees park in the Gold Rush country, using that base came to visit Yosemite National Park, Columbia State Historic Site, Bass Lake, Bodega Bay & the California coast line and so much more. By the time we arrived at Giant Redwoods RV Park Buddy and I knew that due to the downturn in the economy we would not be able to continue to Alaska. Shortly after we arrived there at our Workamper jobs, I began to look around for a suitable summer Workamper position for us. Chris and Tom would ultimately continue on to Alaska. We said our final goodbyes to them in Grants Pass, Oregon (another posting which will follow).
Still, we did get to see quite a bit of California: Yosemite, The Giant Redwoods, San Francisco area, California's "Lost Coast", Eureka, small towns like Miranda, Garberville, Myers Flat, Samoa, and much more. I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story!
